Commitment To Excellence

Trigent follows quality management processes based on the Rational Unified process and our own proprietary Quality Management System (QMS). QMS addresses the eight core quality management principles defined in ISO 9000 standards and forms the process framework for every client engagement.

Quality Policy

Trigent is committed to delivering defect free products and services on time, within the set budget and schedule. We consistently meet or exceed our customers' expectations, giving them time-to-market advantage and a competitive edge.

Quality Certifications

Trigent has demonstrated a strong commitment to quality management since its inception. Trigent's India Development Center has been certified ISO 9001 compliant since 1996, and became one of only 35 "TickIT" organizations in India.

In 2004, the Trigent India Development Center was independently assessed against the Capability Maturity Model for Software (CMM) by SEI-certified assessors from KPMG and rated at CMM Level 4.

Being an SEI CMM Level 4 certified company signifies that Trigent has a well-defined, measured process for software development, follows total QMS implementation, and achieves ongoing quality improvements. It is one of approximately 125 software development organizations worldwide to achieve this rating.

Software Application Development Methodology

Trigent employs a flexible set of methodologies in developing and maintaining software applications, based on clients' specific project and organizational requirements. In determining the appropriate software development methodology for a given project, Trigent considers such issues as:

  • The stage of the application lifecycle
  • How clearly requirements are initially specified
  • The likelihood of requirements changing over the course of the project
  • How the Trigent and client development teams will work together
  • The time-to-deployment requirements
Some of the most common application development methodologies Trigent employs include:
  • The 4D Methodology, Trigent’s Discover, Design, Develop, and Deploy - four-phase process for developing all types of applications. Each phase of the 4D Methodology represents a milestone that is used as a management checkpoint to review and approve progress and quality.
  • The Agile Process, used in development projects that need to accommodate changing requirements throughout the development cycle. The Agile Process focuses on frequent delivery of working software, through working with small development teams that closely collaborate with business managers.
  • eXtreme Programming (XP), a process that emphasizes business results first, and employs an incremental development approach, using continual testing and revision. eXtreme Programming focuses on quickly creating code that works in a limited way, and building on it.
  • Maintain Methodology, addresses maintenance of existing products, including bug fixes and minor enhancements. Trigent’s Maintain Methodology facilitates rapid transfer of knowledge about existing systems and maintenance related activities to Trigent, and client visibility into ongoing maintenance activities. The Maintain Methodology encompasses phases for Scope Definition, Knowledge Gathering, Transition, and Ongoing Maintenance.
